Schedule of Electricity Tariffs 

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority has issued a schedule of tariffs 2018 for electricity tariffs, charges, prices and rates. Notice is given that all prices for electrical energy specified in part ii of the said schedule will be liable to a fuel energy cost charge of plus 830 kenya cents per kwh for all meter readings to be taken in March 2023.

 

Part III of the Schedule of Tariffs 2018, Notice is given that all prices for electrical energy specified in Part II of the said Schedule will be liable to a foreign exchange fluctuation adjustment of plus 216.29 cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in March, 2023

 

Part III of the Schedule of Tariffs 2018, notice is given that all prices for electrical energy specified in Part II -(A) of the said Schedule will be liable to a Water Resource Management Authority (WRMA) levy of plus 0.67 cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in March, 2023.

THE WATER ACT, 2016

PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETINGS ON LICENCING OF WATER SERVICE PROVIDERS

THE Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has received licence applications from three water companies to provide water services within their respective counties.

The licence applications have been made pursuant to the Water Act, 2016 (Section 85(1).–“A person shall not provide water services except under a licence issued by the Regulatory Board, upon submission of an application and such supporting documents as the Board may require”.

Therefore, in compliance to the Water Act, 2016, section 139 on the mandatory requirement for public consultation and WASREB principle object under section 70 (1) of the Water Act, 2016 – protection of the interests and rights of consumers in the provision of water services’, we wish to advise that public consultation meetings shall be held at the venues given to get stakeholders concerns on services provided, licencing conditions and proposals for services development going forward. Please note that due to the challenge posed by the COVID 19 Pandemic, the Water Service Providers will hold hybrid public

consultation meetings; face to face meetings for few stakeholders and virtual meetings for the rest of the stakeholders. 

 

THE VETERINARY SURGEONS AND VETERINARY PARAPROFESSIONALS ACT, 2011

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Paraprofessionals Act, all veterinary surgeons and veterinary paraprofessionals registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) are notified that the relevant registers are ready for inspection to confirm the particulars as entered therein and allow for the registered persons to notify the Board on any anomalies detected

therein.

This can be done at the offices of the Kenya Veterinary Board, located at Veterinary Laboratories, Kabete, during normal working hours from 16th March, 2023 to 30th March, 2023. The registers have

also been uploaded on KVB website: https://kenyavetboard.or.ke/en/registers

Note: Persons whose names will not appear in the relevant registers after 31st March, 2023 will be deemed not to be registered under the Act.
