Deputy Registrars of the High Court, to be Admiralty Marshals, with effect from the 2nd August, 2021. 

The appointment of Hon. Julius Mukut Nangea, Hon. Irene Ngotho Ruguru and Hon. Ivy Dorothy Wasike vide Gazette Notice No. 4747 of 3rd July, 2015, has been revoked. 

The Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning has appointed—

as members of the Valuers Registration Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 23rd July, 2021.

The Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Forestry, has appointed

  • JUSTRY PATRICK LUMUMBA NYABERI 

to be the chairman of the National Environmental Complaints Committee, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 10th August, 2021.

The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has appointed a National Task Force to— 

(a) analyze and propose sustainable modalities on restructuring debts for development of water and sanitation infrastructure owed to development partners by both Water Works Development Agencies (W DAs) and Water Service Providers (WSPs); 

(b) develop a National Water Sector Investment and Financing Plan in the country pursuant to section 64 (3) (d), 68 (d) and 72(1)(g) of the Water Act, 2016.  

ENERGY SECTOR

The Competition Authority (“the Authority”) has entered into a Settlement Agreement with Energy Dealers Association (“the Association”) after the Authority finalized investigations of alleged engagement in certain Restrictive Trade Practices. Specifically, the Association was found to have advocated for enactment of Energy Dealers Association Rules, 2019 with the objective inter alia of recommending a pricing formulae to its members. This contravenes the provisions of sections 21 and 22 of the Act.
