Ben Orori George Momanyi is the member of Parliament for Borabu constituency. He is the first MP for Borabu constituency since it was separated from the North Murigango/Borabu. He was elected under the Wiper party, an affiliate of the Cord coalition Born in 1972 at Kenyenya in Nyamira County, Momanyi is an associate lawyer and owner of Momanyi & Associates Company. He contested in 2007 for the North Mugirango/Borabu parliamentary seat but lost to Wilfred Moriasi Ombui who emerged the winner in the 2007 general election. In 2013, Momanyi was seen asthe best candidate and defeated Partick Osero who was his closest competitor in the elections. He sits in the House business committee and also in the committee on justice and legal affairs in Parliament as well as the Procedure and House Rules Committee. According to Mzalendo.com, Momanyi has spoken 35 times in the National Assembly. He went to Marathwada University, India from 1991 to 1994 to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). He went to Karnatak University, India to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from 1994 to 1997. He went to Kenya School o f Law to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma, Law in 2000 to 2001. He has worked as a Legal officer at the City Council of Nairobi from 2002 to 2004. He is an Associate Lawyer at Momanyi & Associates Advocates from 2003 to date.
