Moses Wekesa Mwambu Mabonga is a Kenyan politician and a current Member of Parliament for Bumula Constituency in Bungoma County. Moses Wekesa was an independent candidate in 2017 general election and an Aspirant Member of Parliament of Republic of Kenya representing Bumula constituency. Moses Wekesa attended Siritanyi Primary School for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and upon completion, he went to St. Teresa’s Kabula Secondary School to attain his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). He managed to get a good grade and secured a place at East Africa School of Theology where he pursued a Pre-University Program and later at the same college, East Africa School of Theology, he studied a Bachelor of Arts. He was then joined Daystar University for Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. In 2000, Moses Wekesa got his first job at Kenya Prisons working as a Chaplain-in-charge in Ruiru Staff Training College till 2007. In 2007, Mr. Wekesa at Kenya Prisons was promoted to be a Provincial Rehabilitation Officer until 2010. Between 2010 and 2012, Wekesa worked in the Office of the Vice President as a Rehabilitation Officer. From 2014 to 2017, he was employed in the County Government of Trans-Nzoia as Political Advisor to the Governor. In 2017, Wekesa joined the politics and ran for the Kenya National Assembly to become a Member of Parliament for Bumula Constituency in Bungoma County. He is a member of the following committees: Departmental Committee on Communication Information & Innovation and Special Funds Account Committee.
