He went to Igembe Boys High School from 1979 to 1982 where he sat his East African Certificate of Education (EACE) "O" Level. He went to Kanyakine Boys High School  from 1983 to 1985 for his  "A" level certificate. He then proceeded to pursue a Diploma in Theology & Ordained as a Priest from 1993 to 1994. He also went to Shanzu Teachers College as an In-service teacher. He then went ahead to join the University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from 1986 to 1989. He went to Kenya School of Law to pursue a Diploma in Law and Council for Legal Education Certificate in 1990. He is currently an advocate at Meenye & Kirima Advocates as from 1991. He currently serves as a member of Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament, Central Imenti Constituency. He is the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Defence & Foreign Relations
