He attended Park Road Primary School for his Certificate of Primary Education from 1971 to 1977. He went to University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Land Economics). He went to University of Nairobi to pursue a Master of Arts Degree (Housing Administration) from 1988 to 1990. He also went to University of Nairobi, Kenya School of Law to pursue a Bachelor of Laws from 2002 to 2006. Between 1987 and 1990 Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Lands and was also Self Employed. He served at the  Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament between 2008 and 2013. He is currently the Member of Parliament, Ndaragwa Constituency at the Kenya National Assembly as from 2017. He has been a member of the following committees: Defence & Foreign Affairs, Standing Orders Committee and Powers and Privileges Committee. He has been the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Unlawful Gangs. He currently the chairperson of the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee.
