Appointments

  • The Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Planning, Ukur Yatani, has appointed numerous persons to be members of the Tax Appeals Tribunal, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 15th April, 2022.
  • The Attorney General, Kihara Kariuki, has appointed Kenneth Odhiambo to be the representative of the Principal Secretary to the National Treasury in the Governing Council of the National Crime Research Centre, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th February, 2021.
  • The CEO, National Government Constituencies Development Fund Board, has appointed numerous persons to be members of the Ugenya National Government Constituencies Development Fund Committee for a period of 2 years with effect from the 22nd February, 2022.

Environmental Impact Assessment 

  • The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the proposed renovation of existing buildings into a nursing home and morgue on plot L.R. No. Kyangwithya/Kaveta/968 in Syongila Locality, Township Ward, Kitui Central Sub-County, Kitui County. The National Environment Management Authority invites members of the public to submit oral or written comments within thirty (30) days from 1st April, 2022. 
  • The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the proposed make-up water supply project. The proposed project entails the design, construction and operation of a 90.5 km buried water pipeline and ancillary infrastructure. The National Environment Management Authority invites members of the public to submit oral or written comments within thirty (30) days from 1st April, 2022.
